International Experience: During the past twelve years the principals of Talisman Capital Group have been extensively involved in private trade finance, project-finance and other structured-finance deals between US and China. From 1991 to 1996 Barry Soltani was chief financial officer of a company, which specialized in Foreign Direct Investments in China. During this period he extensively traveled to Asia and played key roles in developing four industrial development transactions, each with initial capitalization between $10 million to $15 million. From 1997 to 2000 Barry lived in China and during this time further developed extensive contacts and business with various entities, which included arranging financing for an innovative environmental monitoring project involving Eleven Chinese cities, which drew praise form the Chinese State Council and English language press in China. Conversant in Chinese Mandarin, Barry maintains frequent contacts with associates and friends in major business centers of China, including Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou, among others, and travels and lectures frequently on topics dealing with financing between US and China. |
